For most Americans and Europeans, this symbol has all kinds of negative connotations related to the Nazi domination of Germany around the time of the second world war. However, I've seen it at many temples in Japan and it has a different meaning.

This is made on stone on the way to Killewali Mata Mandir, in forest near Bordi Dam, Dalli Rajhara. From the Temple on Hill, you can see beautiful view of Bordi Dam. I love going to this place with friends in peaceful environment.
